The Ravenna Second String Orchestra The Ravenna Second String Orchestra is conducted by Nathan Harrison. It is on the intermediate level, provides a rewarding way to improve your ensemble playing and is usually a little easier than the Ravenna String Orchestra. There are no auditions and all ages (over 13) are invited to participate. Repertoire is chosen from arrangements of average difficulty or compositions written for intermediate players. We have fun while preparing for the short concerts at the end of each quarter. The Updates page will give you an idea of current pieces. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings, 7:15 - 8:30 p.m., at the Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center, 6535 Ravenna Ave. NE, Seattle. The course fee varies per session and is approximately $100. Scholarship is available: no one will ever not be allowed to participate due to finances. Bring a stand! |
